Solar Sprout Farms is more than a collection of farms; it is the heart of the Sunroot Network and the embodiment of our mission. As a democratically-governed cooperative, it is the permanent owner and operator of the network's solar-powered hydroponic farms, ensuring long-term control remains directly in the hands of the community.

Comprised of local, BIPOC-led farmers who have emerged from our dedicated training pipeline, Solar Sprout Farms is where ownership takes root. Our members are not just growers; they are entrepreneurs and stewards of their own economic futures.

The Role of the Cooperative:

• Democratic Governance: Each farmer-owner has an equal voice in the cooperative’s decisions, from crop selection to business strategy, ensuring the network operates in the best interest of its members.

• Shared Resources & Wealth: The cooperative model allows members to share resources, knowledge, and best practices, fostering a collaborative environment. Profits generated from produce sales are distributed equitably, building generational wealth within the community.

• Operational Excellence: Solar Sprout Farms manages all day-to-day cultivation, harvesting, and quality control across the network, upholding the highest standards for the produce it provides to our partners and community.
